On a bitterly cold and extremely wet Bank Holiday Monday, 15 anglers fished the 2nd Summer qualifier of 2018. With the low turn out based on the horrendous weather, the match was fished on Magpie lake to offer the anglers a bit of cover from the elements.
Top rod on the day see Stephen Roslyn take full advantage of a good draw to put a very tidy 53lbs 07ozs of carp on the scales. The Huntingdon based rod fished the pole to the lily pads, feeding micro pellet, with maggot and expander pellet on the hook for the lake win and qualification for the 2 day final in August. Second on the day was Harlow Angling backed Lewis Fenson on peg 21 with 47lbs 03ozs of carp on the pole, with 4mm expander doing the business for the Hertfordshire based rod.
