A mixed bag of weather greeted the 12 anglers fishing Magpie lake today, with a steady wind and broken cloud, the conditions were far from perfect. Add to this equation the fact that the air temperature was knocked back by the wind chill and yet again the expectations for good sport were knocked back.
Bob Coulson fished peg 19 and had to work really hard to secure a lake win with a very disappointing 18lbs 05ozs but it was still enough to win on a very hard day for all. Ray Myring fished fancied peg 36 and he also found the going hard with 12lbs on the nose for second.
