On what can be described as a very poor day, with constant rain and gusting winds, 14 very brave anglers fished this weeks Over 60’s Open on Raven lake. Although Mother Nature was throwing her worst on the anglers in attendance, the only saving grace was the 11 degree temperature that made the going a little bit better but still very hard for all. Even though it was a low weight day for the majority, all anglers caught fish on one of the hardest days of the year so far.
Top Spot on the day went to in form Vic German on peg 11, who dobbed bread to the far shelf to the far shelf at 14m to put a mixed bag of f1’s and carp on the scales for a total weight of 69lbs 04ozs. Second on the day was Roy Whincup on peg 25, who weighed in 45lbs 08ozs, with 3rd overall being secured with 40lbs exactly, taken from peg 17 by Will Hadley.
